I live in a fairytale cottage amidst the Redwoods. I look out toward the
magnificent Pacific, surrounded by acres of nature. I have created rambling
informal gardens that meander out to the forest edge.

A walk or drive anywhere here is always enchanting. I am blessed to live in
one of the most beautiful places in the world.

And, I "see" life, literally! Vision is my favorite sense and I observe & scrutinize all I see. With me it's a feast for the eyes to behold or else I am put off by the disharmony around me.

I guess this is why I've always been an artist, trying to create beautiful relationships between things and colors and light. It's an endless pursuit toward perfection, never over taking the goal, as it always stays a step
ahead. I've tried my hand at most mediums, loving the feel character and whimsical nature of clay and the permanent nature of acrylic, but usually watercolors are my medium of choice, for their portability and fluidity.

Each day is filled with work and play - always a walk on the beach with my trusty companion Violet, some gardening, plenty of work and some scrumptious food.

But when I have a free moment or when I'm on the phone I venture into the garden, to add a special touch, to spruce up an area or just pull a few weeds. Whenever the sun streams across the textures and flowers I am swept away in nature's blissfully magic work. My favorite arranging goes on out there, with Mother Nature. This inspires and enthralls me. This is endless fascination.

As a designer of interiors I am equally as artistic and pragmatic in my approach. I work quickly and efficiently as my knowledge of the design sources and centers are as familiar as the back of my hand. So it is easy for me to be efficient and concise in creating new designs. The anticipation of the outcome pulls me along as the theme develops. It's the artistic process in all aspects of creativity that enriches my life.
